The story of Beef Dhunki

Chef Awanish on his recent trip to India wanted to explore dishes that were very original, historical and had never been on a restaurant’s menu anywhere in the world! After traveling extensively, mostly the rural India and discoveringand tasting numerous dishes, he came across this beef dishin the tribal regions of Eastern India. His joy knew no bounds after tasting it and that was his Eureka moment! The dish was a perfect blend of spices, aroma and heatand as told by the tribesmenthe recipe dated almost 4000 years back.

Originally cooked with spring goat or lamb, he tried with Scottish beef back in the UK and it worked wonders and that’s how Beef Dhunki came on the menu!
